Pricing & Quota

Understand GetWebP's free tier, paid plans, quota counting, and how to upgrade or manage your license.

Pricing & Quota

GetWebP uses a quota-based model: each image conversion consumes one unit from your plan's allowance. The free tier is included with no account required.

Table of Contents#

Plans Overview#

For current pricing details, see the Pricing page.

All plans include:

  • WebP and AVIF conversion
  • Unlimited sites per license (within the site limit of your plan)
  • WP-CLI access
  • Multisite support
  • No telemetry, no data collection

How Quota is Counted#

One conversion = one source image (all its sizes)

When WordPress generates multiple thumbnail sizes from a single upload (e.g., thumbnail, medium, large, full), all sizes are converted as part of one quota unit. You are not charged per thumbnail.

ScenarioQuota used
Upload one JPEG (4 thumbnail sizes)1
Batch convert 500 images500
Re-optimize 50 images with a new preset50
Delete WebP and reconvert same image1 (per reconversion)

What Happens When Quota Runs Out#

When your quota is exhausted:

  1. Batch conversion pauses and shows a "Quota exhausted" notice.
  2. Auto-upload stops converting new uploads (originals are still saved normally).
  3. Frontend delivery continues — already-converted WebP/AVIF files keep being served.
  4. Existing WebP/AVIF files are not deleted.

A notice appears in the WordPress admin bar and in the GetWebP dashboard. No images are lost.
