GetWebP ("we", "us", "our") provides a local-first browser extension for image conversion and optimization. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our service.

By using GetWebP, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service.

By accessing or using GetWebP, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our service.

Service Description

GetWebP provides local-first image conversion services. Our browser extension allows you to:

Convert images between formats (e.g., PNG, JPG to WebP)
Compress images to reduce file size
Process images in batches
Optimize images for web use

Local Processing

Important: GetWebP is a browser-based local processing tool. Image data does not upload to our servers. All processing happens entirely within your browser using WebAssembly (WASM). Therefore, we cannot access, store, or leak your images. Your images never leave your device.

User Rights

You have the right to use GetWebP for personal and commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. You retain all rights to your images and processed content.

Use Restrictions

You agree not to:

Use GetWebP for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
Infringe upon the intellectual property rights of others
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension
Use automated systems to abuse or overload the service

Intellectual Property

GetWebP and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

No Warranty

GetWebP is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

Warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Accuracy or reliability of results

Important: Due to reliance on your local computing power and browser environment, we are not responsible for:

Image corruption caused by computer crashes or system failures
Data loss due to browser crashes or memory limitations
Processing failures due to insufficient system resources
Any damages arising from the use of our service

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

Your use or inability to use GetWebP
Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code
Any errors or omissions in any content
Any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of your use of GetWebP

AI/ML Processing (If Applicable)

If GetWebP uses AI or machine learning models for image processing (e.g., background removal), please note:

AI models run locally in your browser
Results may contain errors or inaccuracies
We do not guarantee 100% accuracy of AI-generated results
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying AI-processed images
