Common Errors

Here are some frequent issues and how to resolve them.

"Conversion failed" or no output#

• Ensure the source is a valid image (JPEG, PNG, GIF, etc.).
• Try a different image or a smaller file to rule out size limits.
• Reload the extension or restart the browser and try again.

Context menu option missing#

• Confirm the extension is enabled in chrome://extensions.
• Right-click directly on an image (not on empty space). The option may not appear on some protected or iframe content.

Downloaded file doesn’t open#

• Check that your OS or image viewer supports WebP. Modern browsers and many apps support it; older software may need an update or a different viewer.
